Questions about the money

• What exactly does the 1% apply to?The ticket price you set, on paid tickets only. There is no minimum, no per-attendee floor, no per-day charge, and no separate fee for the attendee app. Free tickets cost nothing.
• Who pays the fee, me or my attendees?You do. Buyers pay exactly the ticket price you set - the 1% is not added on at checkout, so nobody sees a surprise fee on the last screen. It comes out of what reaches you.
• When do I get paid?You are the merchant of record, so ticket money is in your own Stripe account from the moment of sale and pays out on your own Stripe payout schedule. Presso never holds your funds, which also means we cannot promise you a payout date - that setting is yours, in your Stripe dashboard.
• What happens to the 1% if I refund a ticket?You get it back. Refund from your own Stripe dashboard as normal and Presso returns its fee at Stripe: all of it on a full refund, and pro-rata on a partial one. The same happens on a chargeback.
• Does Stripe charge me on top of the 1%?Yes. Stripe takes its own card-processing fee on each sale, set by Stripe and paid to Stripe, and the 1% platform fee is separate from it. We do not mark it up and we do not see it.
• Is the 1% inclusive of VAT?Yes. You pay 1% and nothing more - one sixth of it is UK VAT that Presso owes HMRC, so we net 0.833%. There is no VAT to add on top of the figure quoted here.
• Is there a contract, a minimum term or a notice period?None of the three. No setup fee, no monthly platform fee, no card on file to start, and nothing to cancel. If you stop running events you stop paying, because there is nothing to pay when nothing sells.
• What happens to my attendee data if I leave?It leaves with you. Attendee records are exportable at any time, and because payments run through your own Stripe account your buyer relationships were never held by us in the first place.
